Scheduled for release between 2008 and 2019, the Gilded Edition coins are a popular collector choice from the Australian Lunar Silver Coin Series II.

Each coin is struck from 1oz of 99.9% pure silver.

Each coin celebrates one of the 12 Chinese lunar animals said to ‘rule’ the lives of those born under its influence. The animal designs are spectacularly gilded in 24-carat gold.

Issued as legal tender under the Australian Currency Act 1965, each coin bears the Ian Rank-Broadley effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II on the obverse.

A red and black display case with room for all 12 coins is available to house this magnificent collection.. The case comes in a superbly illustrated box shipper.

Each release is accompanied by a numbered Certificate of Authenticity, which can be stored in a compartment underneath the removable coin tray in the display case.

The Perth Mint will release no more than 50,000 of each Gilded Edition 1oz silver coin.
